Can a computer generate slow-motion video that’s indistinguishable from the real thing? Nvidia thinks so. Its technique for creating slow-motion video using standard 30fps footage and frame-interpolation techniques is one of the latest among many applications of deep-learning systems to motion picture technology. Nvidia is presenting the technique at the Computer Vision and Pattern Recognition (CVPR) conference this week in Salt Lake City, UT.
