Arri says Dr. Michael Neuhaeuser will become its executive board member responsible for technology at the Arri Group effective September 1.
Neuhaeuser, a specialist in electrical engineering and semiconductors, was previously VP of automotive microcontroller development at Munich’s Infineon Technologies.
He replaces Professor Franz Kraus in the role. Kraus will move to Arri’s supervisory board, where he will remain “closely associated” with Arri, the company said. Kraus presided over Arri’s R&D during a period when the company received nine Scientific and Technical Awards from the motion picture academy, and in 2011 he received his own Oscar statuette for his work designing and developing the Arrilaser digital film recorder.
