12G and IP technology will be highlighted in the new technology For-A brings to IBC, where the company said its products will be highlighted under an organizing motto: “The Gateway to IP.”
That means For-A is developing IP interfaces and remote capability for all of its 12G products — and retrofitting its existing 3G products with IP connectivity — for easier use in facilities that are managing a transition from existing video infrastructure to IP connectivity.
Among the new gear For-A will debut in Amsterdam next month is the HVS-1200, a 1.5M/E switcher with up to 10 12G inputs and eight 12G outputs. It’s designed for use on small 4K productions or as a “fly-away” system deployed in tandem with an MFR-1000 routing switcher.
The MFR-1000 is an 8 x 8 12G matrix routing switcher with UHD conversion across all inputs and outputs. It supports 12G, 6G, 3G, HD, SD and DVB-ASI, automatically detecting the type of SDI signal coming in.
The IF4K-DNC is a new 12G frame synchronizer and color-corrector. It also has HDMI I/O, meaning it can be used for HDMI/SDI cross-conversion. It also supports wide color gamut and HLG to SDR conversions for HDR workflow, as well as HD downconversion, meaning the unit can simultaneously output 12G and HD, including 12G-SDI HLG and HD-SDI SDR. AES and analog output are also included.
Also set to be unveiled at IBC is a new baseband/IP control and monitoring system designed with future cloud-based operation in mind and geared specifically toward hybrid SDI-IP environments.
