Signiant is bringing its media-exchange framework to IBC this year with new features designed to keep pace with evolving file-based workflows.
Signiant indicated it has caught up to the burgeoning reliance on IMF packages with a new “IMF Aware” interface. The company said the new functionality is designed to make it easier to access the specific assets required for different versions of a project in an IMF workflow.
Also trending in media production is the use of cloud ingest portals. Signiant says Media Shuttle can be used to build a cloud ingest portal without running special software or maintaining dedicated servers, making it a good multi-tenant candidate for replacing customized but idiosyncratic applications from the early days of cloud ingest.
“The media business continues to change at a rapid pace, and Signiant is uniquely positioned to respond rapidly,” said Signiant Chief Strategy Officer Rick Clarkson in a prepared statement. “Our cloud-native SaaS architecture makes it possible for us to innovate continuously and quickly deliver new functionality to our customers. With this agile model and a very broadly deployed platform, Signiant plays a pivotal role in driving the adoption of new standards and practices across the entire global media supply chain. IMF and cloud ingest are natural use cases for our platform and great examples of its powerful impact on the media ecosystem.”
Signiant said its platform is now used by more than 400,000 media professionals.
