NIM Labs said today that it had released NIM 3.0, the latest version of its studio management software platform aimed at VFX and post-production facilities.
The marquee feature for NIM 3.0 at SIGGRAPH was its new Adobe Premiere Pro panel integration, which allows NIM to be used as a conform tool, as well as a remodeled creative review interface and workflow. (See our previous coverage.)
Since then, new feature additions include new rule-based control over email notifications and the option to create user groups to receive different types of information, as well as an updated Gantt chart view with better ways to sort tasks and users.
NIM has always emphasized financial tools, and now, the company says, higher level dashboard reports will make it easier to compare profitability across different categories of jobs.
NIM was originally developed in house by VFX firm Ntropic, but is now in use at facilities including Digital Domain, Intelligent Creatures, Logan, Spontaneous, and Taylor James, the company said.
