Digital Domain is set to open its new studio in Montréal on March 1, 2019.
The VFX giant said it will hit the ground running with 10,000 square feet of space in the city’s Plateau Mont-Royal neighborhood to start, with plans to expand already underway.
“Montréal is fueled by creativity and innovation, and was an obvious choice for the next studio location for Digital Domain,” said Digital Domain Executive Director and CEO Daniel Seah in a prepared statement. “Given the strong animation and visual effects talent pool in Montréal, we are stacking the deck to make this studio location an attractive offering to partners, molding the future of Digital Domain.”
The new studio will join existing Digital Domain operations in Los Angeles, Vancouver, Beijing, Shanghai, Shenzhen, Hong Kong, Taipei and Hyderabad.
