Women in Film & Video of Washington DC’s #GalsNGear initiative will be at NAB Show 2019 in force, with multiple events scheduled during the conference.
NAB events, sessions and panels being hosted in conjunction with #GalsNGear include a coffee networking event at 8:30 a.m. on April 9 in the Central Lobby of the Las Vegas Convention Center (LVCC), followed from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. by a livestreamed program with discussions and demos conducted by women in the industry. That show will be hosted by Crowded TV founder Adryenn Ashley and #GalsNGear founder and director-producer Amy DeLouise, and it will be streamed by Broadcast Beat magazine.
A session on Wednesday morning at 10:30 a.m. in the NAB Innovation Pipeline Theater in the LVCC North Hall (N2936) will consider “What’s New, What’s Next in Post,” and at 2 p.m. NAB’s Post Production World track will present “Case Studies in VR: Creators in Action” in LVCC room S224.
“Women are leading throughout our industry,” said DeLouise in a prepared statement. “Partnering with NAB Show, #GalsNGear puts the focus on those leaders to be sure they are visible in the booths, on the show floor, on panels and across all technical fields of media-making.”
