The Hollywood Professional Association (HPA) said Phil Kubel, a founding member of and VP of post-production for horse-racing TV network HRTV, has become the trade association’s new director.
Based in Burbank and reporting to HPA Executive Director Barbara Lange, Kubel will manage the HPA’s daily business and support strategic planning as well as membership and program development.
“It’s an exciting time to be joining HPA,” said Kubel in a prepared statement. “We have a rare opportunity to use our accumulated knowledge and relationships to support industry growth by connecting the players and leading the conversation. I look forward to continuing the vision of HPA and developing it as a world-class resource for production professionals.”
