In a bid to give cinematographers better access to its glass, Zeiss has opened its Cinema Lens Demo Center in Los Angeles, CA.
The facility houses a nine-seat 4K HDR theater, a full editorial suite running Blackmagic Design DaVinci Resolve and Foundry Nuke software, and a Gecko Pro lens-projection bay.
The center will also have a selection of third-party cameras that can be fitted with Zeiss lenses for testing purposes, the company said.
Cinematographers can make appointments for private demonstrations, and the facility will also be used for regularly scheduled educational workshops and other events, Zeiss said.
“Zeiss is committed to serving the artistic community,” said Zeiss Cine Sales Manager Snehal Patel in a prepared statement. “Our goal is to create a home for cinematographers in Los Angeles where they can experience all of our offerings.”
The Zeiss Cinema Lens Demo Center is located at 15260 Ventura Blvd, Suite 820 in Sherman Oaks, CA, and can be reached by telephone at 818-582-4910, or via email.
