Imagine Products updated the Mac version of ShotPut Pro with additional camera format and metadata support, as well as the new Imagine HQ iOS app, which it said will give users remote access and status reports while ShotPut Pro is offloading media.
New features in ShotPut Pro for Mac 2019.2 include support for Blackmagic Raw and Canon Raw file formats, support for Codex’s lossless HDE system for compressing .ARI file offloads, thumbnails for Codex .ARX raw frames, an updated Red SDK, and a flag for dropped frames on the Red platform.
ShotPut Pro for Mac 2019.2 also supports the Imagine HQ iOS app, which delivers real-time job status and push notifications, job listings, and the availability to link multiple workstations from a mobile phone or tablet. The app is available to users with any ShotPut Pro license type, including company-owned licenses.
Some of the new features are shared with the Windows version of ShotPut Pro, including a redesigned “simple mode” for quick offloading, media hash list reporting, and additional PDF reporting options. Others are scheduled to be ported over — including support for the Imagine HQ app — but are not yet available on the Windows platform.
Imagine also teased the future release of an unspecified cloud-based product, without offering details.
“People are moving faster than ever, and workflows need to be more flexible and accessible,” said Imagine Products Marketing Director Michelle Maddox in a prepared statement. “Our new iOS app transforms ShotPut Pro users’ day-to-day work experience, bringing them much greater mobility while giving them peace of mind with real-time data and notifications. Going forward, we anticipate that the integration of these two solutions with our forthcoming cloud solution will have the potential to change workflows forever.”
A perpetual license for ShotPut Pro is $149, plus an additional $60/year (or $49/year with automatic renewal) for future software updates. Imagine HQ is a free download from the Apple App Store.
