FotoKem has moved in above Margarita Mix in Santa Monica, the company announced, describing the expansion as a “new Westside post-production option” with a fiber connection to FotoKem’s locations in Burbank (including Keep Me Posted) and Hollywood.

The second-floor facility at 1661 Lincoln Blvd. shares the tropical atrium, kitchen and private chef with Margarita Mix below. It has a DI color-grading theater, a color suite for episodic and commercial projects, an editorial conform bay, and a VFX team, FotoKem said.

“Having these resources on the Westside, in the same building as our amazing audio facility, enables us to provide feature and episodic color in Burbank, Hollywood, and Santa Monica simultaneously,” said FotoKem Chief Strategy Office Mike Brodersen in a prepared statement. “Knowing that many of our clients may be working or living in proximity [to] these areas was a key driver, so we can provide a convenient location to interact with our creative post services, whatever the need.”

Recent projects completed by FotoKem include Shazam!, Vice, Aquaman, The Dirt, Little and Good Trouble, the company said. FotoKem also has operations in Atlanta and New Orleans.
