Fujifilm’s latest consumer-grade camera announcement is the X-A7, a DSLM that it’s providing in a kit version with the XC15–45mmF3.5–5.6 OIS PZ lens.
The X-A7 is exceptionally lightweight at 11.3 oz. (320 g) — or one pound (455 g) with the kit lens attached — and has a new 24.2 megapixel sensor and articulated 3.5-inch flip-out touch screen.
4K video recording takes place at 30p, and the camera features a timed countdown mode that records video with a preset duration of 15, 30 or 60 seconds for easy upload to social media.
Fujifilm said autofocus and face-detection has been improved for the new camera, with 8.5 times as many phase-detection pixels as its predecessor, the X-A5.
The Fujifilm X-A7 is expected to ship on October 24 in North America with a MSRP of $700. It comes in four colors: camel (pictured), dark silver, mint green and silver.
