Resolve Studio is now Pigmento’s primary online, grading and mastering system. Pigmento has two color-grading suites and two support workstations handling conform, VFX pulls and deliveries.
The company plans to add a 4K projection suite and an HDR suite by the end of next year.
“We used alternative finishing tools in the past, but weren’t happy with their development speed, specifically when it came to adoption of new technologies like HDR and IMF,” said Pigmento co-founder Pepe Abellàn in a prepared statement released by Blackmagic Design.
Pigmento was founded in 2017 by longtime colorists Abellàn and Fernando Martinez, previously of LaPost235 and Infinia.
