Frame.io today released Frame.io for iPad, a beefed-up version of its existing iOS app that takes advantage of the iPad’s large display and advanced feature set.
For example, the new app supports Split View, allowing users to confine Frame.io to one side of the iPad screen while running other apps on the other side. This would allow collaborators to review video while simultaneously chatting, following along with a script, or using separate collaboration tools like Slack.
The new app also supports Apple Pencil, which can be used to make drawings and annotations directly into a Frame.io project.
Frame.io said part of the impetus toward making a more flexible iPad version of the app was the quality of the iPad display, which allows review of more color-accurate footage in the field.
The Frame.io for iPad app is the first new advancement from the company since it announced last month that it had secured a $50 million round of Series-C venture capital funding.
Frame.io pricing starts at $19/month for a single seat.
